INAUGURATION OF THE ONYEOBIA-OTTI MOVEMENT: BARR. ONYEOBIA LAUDED FOR HIS PHILANTHROPIC ACTIVITIES

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Planning, Dr. Eric Egwuibe has lauded the Convener of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement and an Akanu Ngwa Ugwunagbo born US based legal practitioner, Barr. Kelechi Onyeobia for joining forces with Governor Alex Otti for the overall interest of the people of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency and Abians in general.

Dr. Eqwuibe who was speaking at the Inauguration ceremony of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement (a support Group of the Dr. Alex Otti) held at Asa Umunka Primary School Field in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, noted that with the inauguration of the Movement, the reelection of Governor Alex Otti in Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo is now a sure bet and appreciated Barr. Onyeobia whom he described as a philanthropist of note for using his Foundation – the Onyeobia Foundation to impact lives positively in his Akanu Ngwa community and Ugwunagbo LGA at large and expressed optimism that Mr. Onyeobia when elected to represent the people of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, the people of the area will be in for a better representation.

The former Obingwa Council Mayor who chaired the occasion praised Barr. Onyeobia for believing in the transformation agenda of Governor Alex Otti’s administration and for positioning himself as a man who can be trusted with leadership position that will affect humanity positively.

Earlier in his speech, the Convener of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement and a Labour party front line aspirant for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, Barr. Kelechi Onyeobia said the central tenet for the inauguration of the Movement was to galvanize more grassroot support for the reelection bid of Governor Otti as well as to ensure the election of a capable hand who will complement the efforts of Governor Otti in Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal constituency which he said has witnessed poor representation in the House of Representatives.

Presenting a Keynote Address on the Philosophy of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement titled “The Onyeobia Mandate: From Community Revival to Constituency Representation” Mr. Choice Osisike pointed out that the people of Ugwunagbo local government area pleaded Barr. Onyeobia to step forward to represent Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency having seen his antecedent of his Onyeobia Foundation founded in the year 2016 hence the inauguration of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement to drive the cause.

In their remarks, the Mayor of Ugwunagbo LGA, Hon. Chiemela Wagbara represented by his deputy, Hon. Ugochukwu Ukaegbu, a former Commissioner for Agriculture in the State, Dr. Ike Onyenwaku, Barr. Henry Nnah and the Lead Coordinator of the Onyeobia-Otti Movement, Engr Ugochukwu Kingsley Achumba, among others commended the philanthropic gestures of the Convener of the Movement which they said will continue to pave way for him and prayed God to grant his heart desires.

The event which saw a mammoth crowd of the people of the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency also had in attendance, stakeholders of the Labour party in Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, leaders and members of Abia Arise Movement, Onu Ugu Women, among other political pro groups.
