Pst. Ajagba Lauds Insurance Brokers over Tertiary Course Initiative

ABIA – The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba says, every segment of the economy has been deliberately captured, through the ongoing transformative leadership of the Governor, Dr Alex Otti in the State.

Pastor Ajagba who disclosed this at the Investiture ceremony of Mazi Geoffrey Uzoagbara as the Chairman, Eastern Area Committee of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers in Aba, disclosed that the State is now ripe for the Insurance Sector to survive and will thrive greatly when many of the Companies like Aba Star Paper Mill, Enyimba-Raddison Blu Hotel, Textiles Mill, Abia Airport among others will begin operation.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Planning, Dr Eric Egwuibe, extolled the idea of introducing Insurance as a Course in the tertiary Institutions which is in line with the activities of the Governor Alex Otti administration in building Human Capacity for a sustainable society and advised the citizens to continue to pray for the Governor as well as resist any form of inducement that will throw the state backwards.

In her remarks, the President, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Mrs Ekeoma Ezeibe, reminded the Insurance Brokers that the Nigeria Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025 has made them Professionals who will help boost the economy of the Country by providing advise to Consumers including the low income earners on the best Insurance Policy to take incase of any loss while appreciating Governor Otti for rebuilding the State to the level of pride and growth.

In his opening speech, the Chairman of the Occasion and the Director General, Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA), Arch. Uche Ukeje, who said that the roles of Insurance Brokers cannot be over-emphasized, extolled them for taking advantage of the ongoing massive Infrastructural development of the present administration towards stabilizing the Socio-economic sectors.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman, Eastern Area Committee of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Mazi Geoffrey Uzoagbara, said the Professionals whose activities were jeopardized by the decayed Environment of the State previously, thanked Governor Otti for positioning the Industry on the pedestal of development as they will soon embark on aggressive awareness in Schools, Communities, Markets and Media Houses.

The Investiture ceremony with the theme, “X-raying Nigeria Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025: What’s in it for South East Brokers in Nigeria,” featured Award Presentations, goodwill messages among other activities.
