Prayer Imperative in Seeking God’s Intervention – Pst. Akaliro

A clergyman, Pastor Solomon Akaliro, has emphasized the importance of prayer in seeking God’s intervention in human affairs, urging Christians to live righteous lives and avoid harbouring grudges.

Pastor Akaliro gave the charge at Authority Pentecostal Church, Policon Junction, Aba Road, Umuahia, during a thanksgiving service organised by the family of the Acting Director-General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA), Mr Francis Nwaubani.

Speaking on the topic, “Prayer,” Pastor Akaliro said prayer remains a powerful means of attracting the presence of God to challenging situations, stressing that God does not disregard the prayers of the righteous.

He urged Christians to confess their sins before God and one another, while warning them against bitterness, grudges and other attitudes capable of hindering their relationship with God.

According to him, God examines the heart before answering prayers, advising Christians to approach Him with genuine faith rather than emotions and sentiments.

The cleric also likened the emergence of the administration of Governor Alex Otti in 2023 to the collective prayers of Abians, saying the transformation recorded across the state was evident to all.

“Even the blind can see the transformation taking place in all parts of Abia today,” he said.

Also speaking, the Senior Pastor of Authority Pentecostal Church, Policon Junction, Rev. Amaka Okoli, said God would not abandon those who put their trust in Him.

She encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and obedience to the Word of God, assuring them that His blessings endures forever.

In his testimony, the Acting Director-General of BCA, Mr Francis Nwaubani, expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness to him and his family.
Nwaubani particularly thanked God for the successful graduation of his daughter with distinction as a qualified nurse in the United States of America.

He also used the occasion to appreciate Governor Alex Otti for the confidence reposed in him by appointing him Acting Director-General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State.

The thanksgiving service featured prayers for Governor Otti, the Acting Director-General of BCA and their families.
