BCA Assures NOA of Partnership to Promote Public Enlightenment, Electoral Awareness

The Acting Director-General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA), Mr Francis Nwaubani, has assured the National Orientation Agency (NOA) of the Corporation’s partnership and support towards achieving its objectives.

Mr Nwaubani gave the assurance when a delegation from the NOA Abia State Directorate paid him a courtesy visit in his office. He stressed the need for both agencies to collaborate in engaging and enlightening the public, particularly ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The Acting Director-General disclosed that the BCA had transitioned from analogue to digital broadcasting, while commending the Governor, Dr Alex Otti, for his efforts towards the development of the state and the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia.

Speaking during the visit, the State Director of the National Orientation Agency, Mr Chidi Unuobagha, said the delegation was at the BCA to further strengthen the partnership and cordial relationship existing between the NOA and the Corporation.

Mr Unuobagha stressed that both establishments work towards the good and development of the state and humanity.

He noted the longstanding relationship between the NOA and BCA, explaining that the agency chose the Corporation as its preferred media partner because of its reputation as one of the leading broadcast stations in the state and the South-East.

The NOA State Director lauded Governor Alex Otti for what he described as significant efforts towards the development of the state and commended the Acting Director-General for his efforts in repositioning the Corporation.

He added that the BCA plays a vital role in the effective dissemination of the agency’s programmes and activities to the public.

In his remarks, the Head of Human Resources of the National Orientation Agency, Mr Kingsley Igwe, expressed appreciation to the Acting Director-General and the management of BCA for their warm reception and the opportunity to interact and share knowledge with them.
