ABIA – Governor Alex Otti says his administration has, within the last three years, prioritized human capital development, infrastructural renewal, fiscal responsibility, and social justice.

Governor Otti, who reeled out the scorecard of his administration during the May edition of the Governor’s monthly media parley tagged “Governor Otti Speaks to Abians,” said the achievements were aimed at restoring the dignity of Abians, as well as rebuilding public trust in government and governance.

The Governor stated that the strides recorded across various sectors have restored peace, security, and the pride of Abians both at home and in the diaspora, while thanking the people for the confidence reposed in his administration.

The state Chief Executive further noted that his government has ensured justice and fairness within the system, as workers are now certain of receiving their salaries on or before the 28th of every month.
Governor Otti also disclosed that his administration has recovered some stolen state assets that were illegally acquired in the past and has criminalized the unlawful acquisition of government properties.

According to him, the government has reduced the state’s debt profile by over 60 percent within the period under review and has made fiscal sustainability, transparency, and accountability its watchwords — a development that has earned the state a ranking as the 4th best in fiscal responsibility in the country.
